Baseball Recap: Oratory Prep Extends Road Winning Streak to Six

Oratory Prep waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Union Farmers by a score of 4-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-10 back in April.

Jacob Minnefor spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Patrick Keown, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

Oratory Prep's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-5. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Union, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-18.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oratory Prep will challenge Gill St. Bernard's at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Union, they will take on Morristown at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
