Soccer Game Preview: Garces Memorial vs. Central

The Garces Memorial Rams will head out to face off against the Central Grizzlies at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Garces Memorial's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Garces Memorial managed to keep up with The Palmdale Aerospace Academy until halftime two weeks ago, but things quickly went downhill from there. Garces Memorial lost 4-1 to The Palmdale Aerospace Academy. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 655th, while the Griffins are ranked 92nd).

Meanwhile, Central kept a clean sheet against Fresno on Thursday. They skirted past the Warriors 1-0.

Central's win bumped their record up to 4-6-2. As for Garces Memorial, they now have a losing record at 4-5-2.
