Basketball Recap: Caroline Bane Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Fountain-Fort Carson + How To Watch

After losing to Fountain-Fort Carson the last time they met, Lakewood decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Tigers snuck past the Trojans with a 30-25 win on Wednesday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lakewood to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caroline Bane, who posted four points along with eight rebounds and five steals. That's the most steals Bane has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Saylor Slaughter, who had nine points and four steals.

The victory got Lakewood back to even at 3-3. As for Fountain-Fort Carson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Lakewood will take on Cherry Creek in a holiday battle at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will be up against the Bruins' rather soft defense (which has allowed 61.5 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Fountain-Fort Carson, they will be taking part in a tournament against Prairie View at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
