Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Bellmont walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Huntington North Vikings with a sharp 3-0 victory on Saturday. The win was nothing new for the Braves as they're now sitting on six straight.

MaryKate Scheumann paced Bellmont's offense, picking up 18 kills. Scheumann got some help from Lilly Selking and her 21 assists. Scheumann was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Despite the defeat, Huntington North had strong showings from McKenzie DeHaven, who had eight digs and two assists, and Myah Eltzroth, who had 11 assists and seven digs.

Bellmont's victory bumped their record up to 19-12. As for Huntington North, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-20.

Bellmont didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Fort Wayne Wayne on the 18th. Huntington North does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
