Basketball Recap: Ripon Christian Extends Winning Streak to Five

Ripon Christian came tearing into Friday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24 points) and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Hughson Huskies with a sharp 63-42 win. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matches by 21 points or more this season.

Ripon Christian was led to victory by Walker Postma and Amos Cady. Postma posted 20 points, while Cady put up 17 points. That's the most points Postma has posted since back in December of 2024. Chase Bunnell was another key player, putting up seven points.

Several Huskies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Karam Kang, who went 5 for 12 on his way to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Urquidez, who had ten points.

Ripon Christian's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-5. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Hughson, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season.

Ripon Christian will face off against Ripon at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Ripon will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Ripon Christian surely won't give up without a fight. Hughson has already played their next game, a 74-51 loss against Escalon on the 4th.
