Campo Verde skates past Chaparral with ease

The Campo Verde Coyotes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 29 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Chaparral 67-18 at home. That's another feather in the cap for Campo Verde, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Campo Verde was led to victory by Kelsey Watts and Madison Coger. Watts scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and three steals, while Coger scored 17 points along with six steals and five assists. That makes it five consecutive games in which Watts has scored at least 25% of Campo Verde's points. Lizzy Clark was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds.

Campo Verde is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Chaparral, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Campo Verde will face off against Cactus Shadows at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chaparral, they will head out on the road to face off against Desert Mountain at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
