Baseball Recap: Aubrey Rogers Snags 14th Victory in Last 15 Games

Aubrey Rogers was handed a eight-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the Babcock Trailblazers.

Aubrey Rogers got a great performance from Justin Lewis as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave Lewis a new career-high.

At the plate, Aubrey Rogers' win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Bartlett, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Aubrey Rogers hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Babcock struck out 16 times.

Aubrey Rogers is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Babcock, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.

Coming up, Aubrey Rogers will head out to challenge Oasis at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Babcock, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Dunbar at 6:30 p.m. The Trailblazers are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
