Basketball Recap: California Takes a Loss

California was the 73-67 winner over Bentworth when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The California Trojans fell 60-52 to the Bentworth Bearcats on Friday. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bentworth to victory, but perhaps none more so than Christopher Harper, who posted 17 points. Lucas Burt was another key player, putting up eight points along with ten boards and eight assists.

California's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Bentworth, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 4-8.

California will challenge Riverview at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bentworth, they will take on Frazier at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
