Baseball Recap: Bloomington Takes a Loss

Bloomington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 3-0 to the Notre Dame Titans. The Bruins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Titans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Bloomington saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ricardo Sanchez, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Bloomington now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Notre Dame, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bloomington will welcome Rialto at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Notre Dame, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rim of the World at 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Fighting Scots have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.45 runs per game on average), something the Titans will no doubt try to take advantage of.
