Baseball Recap: Wayne Christian Takes a Loss

Wayne Christian lost against Greenfield last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Eagles fell just short of the Knights by a score of 3-2. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wayne Christian's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Greenfield, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 13-2.

Looking ahead, Wayne Christian will square off against Liberty Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Heat have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.7 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Greenfield, they will take on John Paul II Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Saints have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season.
