Basketball Recap: North Cedar Comes Up Short

On Friday, the North Cedar Knights had to suffer through a 69-16 loss at the hands of the North Linn Lynx. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 313th, while the Lynx are ranked 46th).

North Cedar dropped their record down to 3-15 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for North Linn, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 18-1.

Looking ahead, North Cedar will square off against English Valleys on Thursday. As for North Linn, they will challenge Northeast on Monday.
