Football Recap: Deerfield-Windsor Skates Past Mount De Sales Academy with Ease

Deerfield-Windsor came tearing into Friday's contest with four straight wins dating back to last season (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 points), and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Mount de Sales Academy Cavaliers 41-10. The Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cavaliers, too.

Lane Sceals had a dynamite game, throwing for 268 yards and five TDs. Those five passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Deerfield-Windsor's leading receiver Gabe Daniel was Sceals' top target yet again, picking up 102 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Despite the loss, Mount de Sales Academy still got an impressive performance from Zavion DeShazier, who rushed for 125 yards and one score on only 14 carries.

Deerfield-Windsor's record is now 2-0. As for Mount de Sales Academy, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Deerfield-Windsor will challenge Westfield School at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mount de Sales Academy, they will face off against Calvary Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
