Mission Valley's Cody Smallwood rumbled for the longest rushing play in Flint Hills this season in his game against Herington last week. Smallwood's team topped the Railroaders as he sprinted for 80 yards on the play and finished with 228 in all.
West Franklin was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to third in the league. The Falcons vanquished Chase County 33-14 earlier in the week.
Joe Walsh put up the best numbers in passing as Lyndon defeated Osage City. He finished with a total of 8 completions for 155 yards and 3 touchdowns. Walsh's favorite target this week was Dawson Swinehart, who caught 3 passes for 95 yards.
Smallwood was the most successful running back in the league this week. Tanner Allen also contributed to the rushing game with 126 yards on the ground.
Mitchell Wecker was the best wideout in Flint Hills this week as Northern Heights fell to Council Grove. Wecker tallied 3 receptions for 115 yards.
Orlando Guitierez was a key player and the best on defense this week as the Bulldogs lost to West Franklin. The 5-foot-11 senior.
