Basketball Recap: Chatham Takes a Loss

Chatham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a blow against the Watervliet Cannoneers, falling 57-28. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 840th, while the Cannoneers are ranked 356th).

Chatham's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Watervliet, their victory bumped their record up to 10-4.

Chatham will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Coxsackie-Athens at 6:30 p.m. on February 11th. As for Watervliet, they are taking a road trip to face off against Maple Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
