Basketball Recap: Christian Fellowship vs. Calvary Lutheran Lions
Christian Fellowship lost against the Calvary Lutheran Lions back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Christian Fellowship suffered a tough 53-30 defeat at the hands of the Lions. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Christian Fellowship has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Christian Fellowship had strong showings from Ariya Barton, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds, and Brooke Grathwohl, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Christian Fellowship's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Calvary Lutheran, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Christian Fellowship won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the at 5:30 p.m. on February 2nd. As for Calvary Lutheran, they will be playing at home against the Eagles on Monday. Vienna is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
