White Bear Lake came tearing into Saturday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 73-61 win over the Hill-Murray Pioneers. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 112th, while the Pioneers are ranked 287th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

White Bear Lake's victory bumped their record up to 20-9. As for Hill-Murray, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.

Coming up, White Bear Lake will challenge Duluth East at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hill-Murray, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 73-61 loss against Liberty Classical Academy on the 8th.
