Basketball Game Preview: West Caldwell Warriors vs. Wilkes Central Eagles

The West Caldwell Warriors will head out to challenge the Wilkes Central Eagles at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

West Caldwell is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against South Caldwell last Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Warriors were dealt a 76-37 loss at the hands of the Spartans. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-16.

Meanwhile, Wilkes Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 76-50 to Bandys.

Wilkes Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for West Caldwell, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Everything came up roses for West Caldwell against Wilkes Central in their previous matchup back in December of 2019, as the team secured a 75-33 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
