Soccer Recap: Triton Takes a Loss

After flying high against Harnett Central on Wednesday, Triton came back down to earth. The Hawks came up short against the Pine Forest Trojans on Friday, falling 6-1. While losing is never fun, Triton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 319th, while Pine Forest are ranked 99th).

Triton now has a losing record of 10-11-1. As for Pine Forest, the win keeps they at an undefeated 17-0-2.

Looking ahead, Triton will face off against Southern Lee at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Pine Forest, they will square off against Terry Sanford at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Pine Forest's defense better be ready for this one: Terry Sanford have averaged an impressive 2.5 goals per game this season.
