Volleyball Recap: James Island Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Oviedo

James Island is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Oviedo. The Trojans fell just short of the Lions by a score of 2-1. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

James Island's loss dropped their record down to 18-8-1. As for Oviedo, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

James Island will head out to square off against South Florence at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Oviedo, they will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Atlantic Collegiate Academy at 9:30 a.m.
