Basketball Game Preview: Wendell Trojans vs. Soda Springs Cardinals + How To Watch

For the first time this season, Wendell will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They are taking a road trip to square off against the Soda Springs Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, Wendell was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 51-46 to Gooding. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Brianna Egbert, who posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Kaleimys Nieves-Ramos, who had 13 points.

Meanwhile, the third road game was the charm for Soda Springs, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Salem Hills 41-38. The victory was some much needed relief for the Cardinals as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Wendell's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Soda Springs, their win bumped their record up to 2-6.

Things could have been worse for Wendell, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 49-32 loss to Soda Springs in their previous matchup back in February. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
