Volleyball Recap: Decatur Central Comes Up Short

The Decatur Central Hawks came up short against the University Trailblazers on Thursday and fell 3-1.

While Decatur Central had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-20, 16-25, 25-20.

Mike Norton paced Decatur Central's offense, picking up 11 kills. Norton got some help from Kenyo Rivera and his 16 assists. Esteban Martinez controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Decatur Central's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for University, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-6.

Decatur Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Center Grove on the 15th. As for University, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter on the 14th.
