Baseball Recap: Westminster Wins Going Away Against Boulder

Westminster made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Boulder, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Wolves were the clear victors by an 11-5 margin over the Panthers on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Wolves considering their two-run performance the game before.

Adrian Moreno was incredible, going a perfect 5-for-5 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Tony Sisneros was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

Moreno wasn't the only one making solid contact: Westminster kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Boulder only managed eight hits.

Westminster has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Boulder, their record is now 5-8.

Looking ahead, Westminster will head out to face off against Brighton at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season. As for Boulder, they will welcome Eagle Valley at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
