Volleyball Recap: Ridgecroft Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Win

Ridgecroft came tearing into Tuesday's match with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Pungo Christian Academy Raiders. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

The match finished with set scores of 25-5, 25-7, 25-21.

Leading Ridgecroft to victory were Aubrey Stephenson and Klaire Cherry. Stephenson had five aces, while Cherry hit 70% for seven kills and four aces. The last time Cherry's hitting percentage was this high was back in September of 2024.

They weren't the only good server: Ridgecroft was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 19 aces. They are a perfect 11-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Ridgecroft's record now sits at 12-4. As for Pungo Christian Academy, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-10.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Ridgecroft is set to challenge their familiar foe Halifax Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Pungo Christian Academy will take on rival Northeast Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
