Volleyball Recap: Battle Creek Victorious

Battle Creek won the last time they faced Omaha Northwest and things went their way on Saturday too. The Braves walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Huskies. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Braves.

Marissa Hitz went supernova, getting nine kills, six digs, and two aces. That's the most digs she has posted since back in October of 2024. Ali Korth was another key player, getting six kills, five aces, and three digs.

They weren't the only good server: Battle Creek was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Omaha Northwest only served three aces.

Battle Creek's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Omaha Northwest, their loss was their first of the season and also makes their record 3-1.

Battle Creek didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Fremont on the 30th. As for Omaha Northwest, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Mercy on the 30th.
