Santiago had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They enjoyed a cozy 31-14 victory over the Yucaipa Thunderbirds. The Sharks pushed the score to 28-6 by the end of the third, a deficit the Thunderbirds cut but never quite recovered from.
