Baseball Recap: Clay Center Picks Up Fourth Straight Win on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Burlington, Clay Center was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over the Sabetha Bluejays. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won three contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Clay Center's win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average this season. As for Sabetha, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Clay Center didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 5-3 loss against Tonganoxie on the 29th. As for Sabetha, they have also already played their next game, a 14-1 win against St. Marys on the 31st.
