Softball Recap: Elyria Takes a Loss

Elyria lost against North Ridgeville back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pioneers came up short against the Rangers, falling 13-4. The Pioneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Morgan Palos made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Katelyn Lesko, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Elyria now has a losing record of 2-3. As for North Ridgeville, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Elyria will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Keystone at 11:00 a.m. The Pioneers are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for North Ridgeville, they will head out to take on Berea-Midpark at 4:45 p.m. on Monday.
