Football Recap: Kirkwood Skates Past Dickson County with Ease + How To Watch

Kirkwood lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Dickson County, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's matchup. The Cobras blew past the Cougars, posting a 49-14 victory. Considering the Cobras have won four contests by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Miles Reding continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 279 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushing for 74 yards on only nine carries. What's more, he racked up 152.6 passer rating, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. 100 of Reding's passing yards were hauled in by Jayven Norris, who also brought in two receiving touchdowns.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Kirkwood proved: they limited Dickson County to a paltry two yards per carry. The Cobras didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 8.9.

Kirkwood's record now sits at 5-1. As for Dickson County, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-2.

Kirkwood has already played their next game, a 40-9 win against LaVergne on the 2nd. As for Dickson County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 24-17 victory against Spring Hill on the 4th.
