Joey Banry commands the offense for a Highlanders win

Recap: North Eugene Highlanders vs. Willamette Wolverines
The North Eugene Highlanders waltzed into Tuesday's match with four straight wins but they left with five. They put the hurt on Willamette with a sharp 70-47 win. Given North Eugene's advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 13th, while Willamette is ranked 202nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Eugene to victory, but perhaps none more so than Joey Banry, who scored 20 points along with six assists. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for Banry. The team also got some help courtesy of Elias McKinnis, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
North Eugene's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Willamette, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Eugene will be home for the holidays to greet Mountain View at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Willamette will take on West Albany at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.
