Basketball Recap: Beau Chene Comes Up Short

Beau Chene was the 51-45 winner over Opelousas when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Beau Chene Gators received a blow on Tuesday as they fell 50-31 to the Opelousas Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Gators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 95th, while the Tigers are ranked 31st).

Beau Chene's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 16-15. As for Opelousas, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 16-4.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Livonia the next time they take the court. Beau Chene will head out to face Livonia at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Opelousas will host them at 7:00 p.m. on February 11th.
