Basketball Game Preview: Palm Bay Pirates vs. Atlantic Sharks

The Palm Bay Pirates will square off against the Atlantic Sharks on Wednesday. Atlantic took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Palm Bay, who comes in off a win.

Palm Bay is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They secured a 68-64 W over Merritt Island.

Atlantic has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 70-60 to Vanguard on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (56), the Sharks still had to take the loss.

Atlantic's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-7. As for Palm Bay, their win bumped their record up to 10-13.

Everything came up roses for Palm Bay against Atlantic in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 67-37 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Atlantic's AJ Johnson, who posted 22 points and seven boards.
