It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Bay City had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top against the Calallen Wildcats by a score of 28-21. Winning may never get old, but the Blackcats sure are getting used to it with their 11th in a row.

Alex Estrada continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 324 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.2 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 39 yards and a touchdown. He has been hot , having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last five times he's played. Xylan Williams was in the mix too, providing Bay City with two touchdowns.

Bay City didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Michael Franklin and James Copeland. Bay City got some further help from Jaden Malone: he made 22 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Despite the loss, Calallen still got an impressive performance from Sebastian Dennis, who rushed for 132 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 111 yards and a touchdown.
