J.L. Mann took a eight-run loss the last time they faced off against Powdersville, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. J.L. Mann won by a run and slipped past Powdersville 5-4. This was a revenge game for J.L. Mann: when they faced off against Powdersville back in March, they had to take a 11-3 defeat.

Teddy Garner looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Riggs Manning was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.

J.L. Mann has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Powdersville, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.

Coming up, J.L. Mann will take on Christ Church Episcopal at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Powdersville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
