Baseball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Hopewell's Fifth in Last Six Outings

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Providence, Hopewell was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the West Charlotte Lions a 15-0 shutout. Considering the Titans have won six games by more than 14 runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Hopewell has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. West Charlotte dropped their record down to 0-7 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Hopewell will welcome Cox Mill at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for West Charlotte, they will head out on the road to challenge Hopewell at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
