Cosby's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They put the hurt on the James River Midlothian Rapids with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Rapids: they've now won four in a row.

Merynn Chavis paced Cosby's offense, picking up 12 kills. Chavis got some help from Ainsley Shoemaker and her 12 assists. Chavis was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

The win got Cosby back to even at 4-4. As for James River Midlothian, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cosby will head out to square off against Thomas Dale at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for James River Midlothian, they will venture away from home to challenge Monacan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
