Basketball Recap: Ball Has No Trouble Against Texas City

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Ball on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Texas City Stingarees with a sharp 58-34 victory. This was a revenge game for the Tornadoes: when they faced off against the Stingarees on January 3rd, they had to take a 49-46 loss.

Texas City's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tristen Blackmon, who posted ten points and five boards. Trevor Gregory was another key player, putting up 12 points.

The win got Ball back to even at 10-10. As for Texas City, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-21.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Santa Fe the next time they take the court. Texas City will host Santa Fe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Ball will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on February 4th.
