After a string of three wins, Ponchatoula's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They wound up on the wrong side of a tough 8-2 walloping at the hands of the Northshore Panthers. Ponchatoula was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Northshore apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.
Christina Curtis made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 3-for-4.
Ponchatoula's defeat dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Northshore, they pushed their record up to 10-9 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Ponchatoula will take on Mandeville at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Northshore, they will head out on the road to take on Fontainebleau at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
