Soccer Game Preview: Atwater vs. Los Banos

The Atwater Falcons are taking a road trip to face off against the Los Banos Tigers at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Atwater is headed into Friday's following a draw, the team's first since December 2. Neither they nor El Capitan could gain the upper hand on Wednesday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The Falcons had to tread lightly for part of the contest as Carmine Ferrario and Julian Zaragoza were both handed yellow cards, which could explain the final result.

Atwater's goal came courtesy of Zaragoza, who's now up to ten this season.

Meanwhile, Los Banos has been on a difficult stretch since their win on December 7. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Merced on Wednesday.

Los Banos' defeat dropped their record down to 6-4-4. With that draw, Atwater's record moves to 5-4-3.
