Soccer Recap: Sage Hill Comes Up Short

Sage Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Portola Bulldogs an easy 4-1 win. The matchup was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for the Lightning it sure didn't stay that way.

Sage Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3-1. As for Portola, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1-1.

Sage Hill will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on St. Margaret's at 6:15 p.m. on January 3, 2025. After both having extra time off, Portola and Northwood will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 5:15 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Portola is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.5 goals per game this season.
