Monroe won the last time they faced Peach County and Brayden Burns did his part to make sure it happened again. The Golden Tornadoes walked away with a 57-46 win over the Trojans on Friday for which the team can thank Burns, who went 11-for-14 en route to 27 points along with eight boards and three blocks. His evening made it ten games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points.

Another player making a difference was Hiram Holloway, who posted four points and six rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last six games he's played.

When it comes to explaining why Peach County lost, don't look at Rowan Woodrich. Despite the final result, he shot 63% from the field to rack up 22 points and six boards. Jackson Warlick was another key player, putting up eight points.

The victory made it two in a row for Monroe and bumps their season record up to 14-3. As for Peach County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.

Monroe wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 73-54 win against Bainbridge on the 17th. As for Peach County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-43 loss against Westover on the 20th.
