Baseball Recap: Coronado Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Coronado waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Eastwood Troopers by a score of 10-6. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-3 last Saturday.

Coronado got a great performance from Jaxon Baptist as he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. Baptist has been consistent : he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ben Wilson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Walt Mann, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Coronado kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive games.

Coronado's win bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Eastwood, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 13-8-1.

Coronado has already played their next match, a 7-4 loss against Socorro on the 28th. As for Eastwood, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 14-1 victory against Montwood on the 28th.
