Preview: Farmington vs. Box Elder
Box Elder will challenge Farmington on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Box Elder are coming into the contest hot, having won three in a row.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Box Elder ultimately got the result it was hoping for last Friday. They skirted past Viewmont 36-34. Senior Bernard Pena was the offensive standout of the match for Box Elder, as he rushed for 212 yards and 2 touchdowns. In fact, with nine tackles Pena was a force on both sides of the ball.
Meanwhile, their game two weeks ago wasn't at all kind to Farmington, but their most recent game may have softened the blow. They snuck past Woods Cross with a 20-14 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for Farmington as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.
Their wins bumped Farmington to 1-5 and Box Elder to 5-1. We'll see which team can carry over their success and which team inevitably falls when Farmington and Box Elder clash.
