DaMaury Olsen was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Emmanuel Alberto was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-3.

The win was the third in a row for Ygnacio Valley, bringing their record for this year to 4-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Making Waves Academy, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4.
