Baseball Game Preview: Sterling Golden Warriors vs. Geneseo Maple Leafs

For the second straight game, Sterling will face off against Geneseo. The Golden Warriors will head out to square off against the Maple Leafs at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Sterling is headed into the contest having just suffered their closest loss since April 21st on Monday. They fell just short of Geneseo by a score of 5-3.

Sterling saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Drew Nettleton, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Geneseo is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-16 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Sterling, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-18.
