See Lucas Grubb in action last season

Captain Shreve (Shreveport, La.) had an emotional 2015 season, as it was the first season under head coach Bryant Sepulvado after the sudden death of former head coach Richard Lary in April 2015. In his first season at the helm, Sepulvado led a young Gators team to a 3-7 record in Louisiana's tough District 1-5A.

The good news for Captain Shreve fans is that most of the team returns in 2016, including junior quarterback Lucas Grubb. Grubb had a good first season at the varsity level when he threw for 1,200 yards and 11 touchdowns.

This summer, the 5-foot-11, 175-pound signal caller has attended an LSU camp and has performed well at 7 on 7 tournaments in preparation for his junior season. The Class of 2018 prospect has already set his personal goals for the season, which include stepping up his rushing ability, cutting down on bad decisions and leading his team to success in a tough district.
