Baseball Game Preview: Cherry Hill East Cougars vs. Cherokee Chiefs

Cherry Hill East is 1-9 against Cherokee since April of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Cougars will host the Chiefs at 3:45 p.m.

Cherry Hill East and Cherry Hill West faced off in a cross-town battle on Saturday. The Cougars fell just short of the Lions by a score of 4-3.

Rohan Muttathil was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one triple and one run. That triple was his first of the season.

Meanwhile, Cherokee put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Ocean City by a score of 10-5.

Cherokee's win was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-0. As for Cherry Hill East, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5-2.
