Soccer Recap: Candlelight Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Candlelight Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Champions Christian Academy Lions.

Candlelight Christian Academy hit Champions Christian Academy with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jeremiah Dooley, David Silva, and Giovell Vargas.

Candlelight Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4-1. As for Champions Christian Academy, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Candlelight Christian Academy will welcome Central Baptist Christian at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Central Baptist Christian's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Champions Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Florida College Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
