Volleyball Recap: Monday's Victory Is Brighton's Seventh in Last Nine Outings

Brighton not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since September 23rd (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Tipton-Rosemark Academy Rebels. This was a revenge game for the Cardinals: when they faced off against the Rebels back in August, they had to take a 2-0 loss.

The victory didn't come easy: Tipton-Rosemark Academy scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-18, 25-19.

Elizabeth Collins paced Brighton's offense, picking up 16 kills. Collins got some help from Greta Garrett and her 28 assists. Kaitlyn Chapman controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Brighton is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season. As for Tipton-Rosemark Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-10.

Brighton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Arlington on the 1st. As for Tipton-Rosemark Academy, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Evangelical Christian on the 30th.
