Basketball Recap: Piedmont Community Charter Find Success

The Piedmont Community Charter Patriots beat the Lab University Christian Academy Regional Kings 68-57 on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.

Eli Grant had a dynamite game, dropping a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Those 13 boards gave him a new career-high. Johnathan Austin was another key player, putting up 11 points and three steals.

Lab University Christian Academy Regional lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Moses Springer, who shot 47% from the field on his way to 16 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Jazz Hector, who posted ten points and five assists.

Piedmont Community Charter now has a winning record of 2-1.

Piedmont Community Charter has already played their next contest, a 59-27 win against Highland Tech on the 14th. As for Lab University Christian Academy Regional, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 93-65 victory against Oak City Prep on the 13th.
