Basketball Recap: West Middlesex Takes a Loss

West Middlesex was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 49-46 heartbreaker at the hands of the Greenville Trojans. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Big Reds have suffered against the Trojans since January 27, 2016.

West Middlesex's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Greenville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

West Middlesex is taking a road trip to take on Wilmington at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Wilmington will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something West Middlesex surely won't give up without a fight. As for Greenville, they will be home for the holidays to greet Sharpsville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Sharpsville knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Greenville likes a good challenge.
